The San Antonio Spurs avoided suffering a third straight loss in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals over the weekend. Now they'll visit the Oklahoma City Thunder for Game 5. The reigning champs looked shaky without Ajay Mitchell and Jalen Williams in their last outing, and they didn't get much support from their key role players. We'll see if that's the case again on Tuesday.
It's unclear whether Williams will miss more time, but trends suggest that Chet Holmgren and Jared McCain can continue to benefit from his absence if he's not a part of the rotation moving forward. Continue below for our NBA player props for Spurs vs. Thunder Game 5 on Tuesday, May 26.
NBA Player Props for Spurs vs Thunder Game 5
- Chet Holmgren Over 7.5 Rebounds (+100)
- Jared McCain Over 11.5 Points (-118)
Chet Holmgren Over 7.5 Rebounds
Holmgren led OKC in total rebounds and posted a career-high 8.9 rebounds per game during the regular season.
While he's had some poor performances against the Spurs in the third round, he's still been effective on the glass in the 2026 NBA Playoffs.
Holmgren posted 9.1 rebounds per game through rounds one and two.
He's also managed to eclipse seven boards twice in his four postseason meetings with San Antonio. He notched a pair of double-doubles (with points and rebounds) against the Spurs during the regular season.
OKC needs size to combat Victor Wembanyama. Holmgren's rebounding efforts will be even more important if Williams is ruled out for a third consecutive contest.
All signs point to Williams being limited or ruled out, and OKC doesn't really have playable bigs to deploy for extended periods of time if Holmgren struggles in Game 5.
OKC's most impactful glass eaters will be on the floor in this one.
Pick: Chet Holmgren Over 7.5 Rebounds (+100)
Jared McCain Over 11.5 Points
Everyone expected OKC's bench mob to show up in Game 4 of this series, but McCain and Alex Caruso tallied a combined four points on 9.09% shooting.
Caruso, who was averaging 21.0 points per game through Game 3, missed his only field goal attempt in Game 4. At least one of them will bounce back in Game 5, and I'm leaning toward McCain.
McCain led all Thunder reserves in minutes (24) his last time out and remained aggressive on offense despite his struggles.
His mindset will likely remain the same moving forward, as San Antonio is fine with making anyone but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander beat them on offense.
McCain was 1-for-10 in his latest showing, but has been very efficient at the Paycom Center this postseason.
He is averaging 9.0 points while shooting 46.5% from the field and 52.0% from 3-point range at home during this year's playoffs. Those numbers include two contests in which he played less than 10 minutes.
McCain will almost certainly log more than 23 minutes for a fourth straight game on Tuesday, and improving upon his efficiency after one off shooting night can help him get back on track.
The Thunder are in dire need of some bench points right now, and McCain has proven that he can provide that.
