76ers vs. Cavaliers Player Prop Pick
Quentin Grimes should see a boatload of minutes and usage with Philadelphia missing Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George.
Grimes has seen an 8.7% usage rate bump in 251 minutes with the trio off the floor this season. He's scored 23.8 points per 36 minutes in those situations.
VJ Edgecombe is also questionable, so Philadelphia could be even thinner in the backcourt.
Pick: Quentin Grimes Over 17.5 Points (-108)
Nuggets vs. Thunder Prop Prediction
Action PRO is projecting 1.68 steals for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the Thunder's matchup against the Nuggets tonight, giving us a decent 7.2% edge against his current prop line of over/under 1.5, which is good enough to tag the Over with a C+ grade in our database.
In four games since returning from injury, SGA has recorded at least one steal in all four games, while reaching 2+ steals in two of those contests; and getting all the way up to four steals in one of those games.
The Nuggets' backcourt is in rough shape right now with Jamal Murray currently listed as questionable for tonight's contest due to an ankle injury, which may leave Denver susceptible to more turnovers than usual in this spot.
We see value in backing SGA to record 2+ steals at plus-money tonight.
Pick: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 1.5 Steals (+130)
Grizzlies vs. Nets Player Prop Bet
Noah Clowney has seen a team-leading 5.2% usage rate bump with Michael Porter Jr. and Cam Thomas off the floor this season.
He's averaged 16.2 points in five games without Porter and Thomas.
Clowney's minutes tend to fluctuate, but he's averaged 29.3 minutes in nine games without Porter.
He has put up more than 16 points per game in the 24 games in which he's played 30+ minutes.
It's a solid matchup against a Memphis squad that ranks bottom-5 in defensive rating over the past 15 games.
Pick: Noah Clowney Over 14.5 Points (-125)
Warriors vs. Jazz Player Prop Pick
Action PRO is projecting 10.49 points for Draymond Green in the Warriors' matchup against the Jazz tonight, providing a solid 8.9% edge against his current prop line of over/under 9.5, which is strong enough to tag the Over with a B- grade in our system.
With Steph Curry sidelined for the Warriors, that leaves plenty of extra shot attempts to go around for the rest of the Golden State offense — and since he's on the floor for a large amount of the time, some of that scoring volume naturally falls to Draymond.
Green has scored 10+ points in five of his last eight outings, while reaching 14+ points in three of those games.
Draymond certainly isn't the same caliber of offensive threat that he used to be.
However, in the absence of Steph, and with the Warriors still needing to win games, this should be a chance for Green to briefly relive his glory days in a matchup against a tanking Jazz' team that ranks dead last in both defensive rating and points allowed per game.
Pick: Draymond Green Over 9.5 Points (+100)
Knicks vs. Clippers Player Prop Prediction
By Joe Dellera
Mitchell Robinson suited up and played for the Knicks in yesterday's matchup against the Lakers, so we should not expect to see him today.
Whenever Robinson is out, Karl-Anthony Towns tends to see a spike in his rebounding.
Towns averages 11.1 rebounds per game with Robinson in the lineup — but without him, that number jumps all the way up to 14.3.
Tonight, the Knicks draw a matchup against the Clippers, who have Brook Lopez and Isaiah Jackson down low, but are obviously a bit thinner on the interior after trading away Ivica Zubac — and now Niederhauser is out for the season.
This is more of a bet on Towns than against the Clippers — but the matchup works well here too.
