A lucky Michigan resident followed the Yellow Brick Road to Las Vegas and hit a massive jackpot on the Wizard of Oz slot machine.
The Four Queens Hotel & Casino confirmed that this fortunate visitor, who wishes to stay anonymous, left with an impressive windfall of $546,000.
The casino shared the news of this magical win via its X account.
The post read: "There’s no place like… Four Queens. Congratulations to the lucky player from Michigan who followed the yellow brick road and hit a $546,000 jackpot on the Wizard of Oz slot machine! Nothing “Wicked” about that win!"
The lucky winner actually got the Wizard for $546,206.50. This jackpot definitely didn't come from Munchkinland.

In a close-up view of the winning machine, you can see symbols that are tied to the Wizard of Oz characters. You see the Tin Man's ax, Dorothy's basket with Toto riding along, crystals from the Emerald City, the Cowardly Lion's heart medal, and the Scarecrow's diploma.
The Magic of the Wizard of Oz Slot
The Wizard of Oz is a fan favorite that allows players to relive the classic film's magic.
Players can join all of the Wizard of Oz characters, including Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion on their journey to visit the Wizard. As you travel along the Yellow Brick Road, you'll experience the magic of the movie all over again, and sometimes hit a big jackpot, too.
The Wizard of Oz slot has consistently been a crowd-pleaser in traditional casinos, and now Light & Wonder has brought the enchanting adventure online.
"The Wizard of Oz – Over the Rainbow" is an exclusive game at BetMGM Casino. Available in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario, this 5x4 online slot game includes features like Glinda the Good Witch, Balloon Jackpots, Respins, and Free Spins. With surprises around every corner, it keeps players on their toes, offering a taste of the enchanting Emerald City.
And if that wasn't enough, it was also recently announced that the Las Vegas Sphere is creating an immersive experience inspired by the iconic film "The Wizard of Oz." Beginning August 28, guests at the Sphere will have the chance to see a reimagined presentation of this classic movie, displayed on the venue’s expansive 160,000-square-foot screen.
The Four Queens Casino Has a Storied History
Nestled on Fremont Street, the Four Queens Hotel & Casino is a hallmark of downtown Las Vegas.
Established in 1966, it has consistently drawn visitors due to its prime location and reputation for offering a genuine Vegas experience. The casino is named after the four daughters—Faith, Hope, Benita, and Michele—of founder and president Ben Goffstein.

According to the website "Fremont Street Experience," it's known as one of the few Las Vegas spots without resort fees, and has become a favorite for those seeking great value in the heart of the city. Gaming enthusiasts often flock to Downtown for the so-called "loose" slot machines, which are said to be about 10% more generous than those found on The Strip, according to UNLV's Center for Gaming Research.
Play Slots Online or at Sweepstakes Casinos
While the allure of hitting a jackpot is tempting, it’s crucial to practice responsible gambling whether you play at a brick-and-mortar casino, a legalized online casino, or an online platform like a sweepstakes casino, which continue to gain popularity because you can play with gold coins instead of real money.
Know your limits, set a budget, and remember that gambling should remain a fun and entertaining activity, not a financial burden. With the growing availability of online gambling options, making informed choices is more important than ever. Be sure to keep your gambling experience enjoyable and safe!
