The Seahawks allowed the sixth-fewest rushing attempts to QBs this season, but when you look closer at the schedule, they didn’t face many quarterbacks with the rushing ability Drake Maye brings to the table.

With both teams boasting strong defenses against the run game via running backs, a logical game plan for each side is to keep the chains moving would be to quickly abandon the typical first-down runs that go for 1–2 yards and instead throw the ball early and often.

Maye finished the regular season with the third-most rushing attempts amongst all QBs, and he has added 24 attempts across three postseason games. He also led the league in QB scrambles during the regular season (62) and has nine more in the postseason.

Seattle’s defense generated QB pressure at the second-fastest rate in the league during the regular season, so I expect Maye to use his legs early and often, effectively serving as the Patriots’ “run game” by creating yards on broken pass plays.

Pick: Drake Maye Over 6.5 Rush Attempts (-135; Fanatics)

The matchup against the Seahawks is difficult for nearly every Patriots receiver, with the exception of tight end Hunter Henry.

Seattle ranked near the top of the league against wide receivers, allowing the second-fewest receiving yards and one of the lowest catch rates to the position.

Against tight ends, however, the Seahawks allowed one of the highest target shares in the league, along with the fourth-most targets, fifth-most receptions, and sixth-most receiving yards.

Henry has been heavily targeted in the second half of the season, and while his postseason volume hasn’t been massive, the Patriots haven’t been throwing the ball at a high clip.

As 4.5-point underdogs, the Pats will likely be forced to pass at a higher rate here. I have Henry projected for nearly 10 yards over this number, making this a strong bet.

Pick: Hunter Henry Over 38.5 Receiving Yards (-111; DraftKings)

Kenneth Walker Under 22.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

There appears to be value on the under for Walker’s receiving yards.

THE BLITZ projects him for 15.98 receiving yards, while the oddsmakers are implying 30.23. The model gives him a 75% chance to finish with fewer than 22.5 receiving yards. Walked stayed under this number in 12-of-17 regular season games; he has gone over in both Seahawks playoff games thus far.

If you can get this under at -110 or better, there is strong value.

This play remains viable down to at least -188.

Pick: Kenneth Walker Under 22.5 Receiving Yards (-110; DraftKings)

Mack Hollins Over 23.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Mack Hollins was emerging as a legitimate threat for the Patriots late in the season before an abdominal injury sidelined him for the remainder of the regular season and all but the final playoff game against the Broncos.

He went over this number in six of his last seven games (including the playoffs), with his lone miss coming at 23 yards.

With his role in the Patriots offense expected to be fully reestablished heading into the Super Bowl, Hollins’ line looks far too low— especially considering he performs much better against zone coverage and two-high safety looks, both of which the Seahawks deploy at rates near the top of the NFL.

Pick: Mack Hollins Over 23.5 Receiving Yards (-110; FanDuel)
