Blues vs. Blackhawks Analysis, Prediction
The Chicago Blackhawks' offense has been nonexistent in the absence of Connor Bedard. Unsurprisingly, the team can't produce goals without its star player, averaging just 1.67 goals per game through its first three outings.
Chicago is 0-3 during that stretch, and an offensive rebound is unlikely with goaltender Joel Hofer projected to start between the pipes for the St. Louis Blues. Hofer opened the season with a 25-save shutout against the Stars, a team far more capable of producing offense than this current Hawks lineup.
However, goal support is not guaranteed for Hofer. Entering this matchup, St. Louis ranks in the bottom half of the league in goals scored per game, shots on goal per game, power-play percentage, and shooting percentage.
Furthermore, the Blues will be shooting against Spencer Knight, one of the few bright spots on this Chicago team.
Knight's stats don't accurately portray how well he has played, and it's also worth noting that Knight and Hofer faced each other in a preseason tilt between these two teams that saw just five total goals scored.
St. Louis Blues vs Chicago Blackhawks Trade: Under 5.5 (53 Cents, Kalshi)
