Chris Baker

Chris Baker writes about the NBA and NFL for The Action Network. He started betting 3 years ago, and it has become a passion ever since. He has been writing about the NBA and NFL markets for the past year. If he isn’t watching or handicapping basketball, he is probably playing or coaching it. 

Baker has been focused on handicapping the NBA since graduating college in 2021. He comes from a basketball coach/trainer background and finds that his experience playing and coaching helps him a lot when trying to handicap the NBA.

Baker is extremely familiar with pro-level offensive systems and defensive schemes, and this often aids him in his effort to find edges or values in the NBA marketplace. He finds that approaching the game from a coach’s perspective enables him to find contrarian angles relative to the betting public. He likes combining his coaching background with a heavy dose of analytics/data to find value. He mostly focuses on sides and totals but occasionally bets props in certain spots.

Baker graduated from Rutgers University in 2021 with a degree in economics.
