The PGA Tour heads to Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, this week for the Memorial Tournament, one of golf’s most prestigious non-major events.

Known as “Jack’s Place,” Muirfield Village is a brutal 7,569-yard par 72 that rewards complete players and punishes mistakes at every turn.

The course demands elite driving (penal four-inch rough), precise iron play into small, firm bentgrass greens, and strong scrambling.

It’s the toughest course on Tour for approach play and ranks second only to Augusta National for around-the-green difficulty.

The field is limited to 72 players as a Signature Event, with a 36-hole cut for the top 50. The winner picks up a nice $4 million check and 700 FedExCup points.

However, that won't go to Collin Morikawa or Viktor Hovland, as they will not be teeing it up this week.

The favorite is once again Scottie Scheffler, who's chasing his third straight Memorial win — a feat last accomplished by Tiger Woods, who won three in a row from 1999-2001.

Approach play is king at Jack's Place, followed by scrambling from the rough, keeping it in the fairway and par 5 performance.

With that said, let's dive into my top outright selection in my Memorial Tournament picks and PGA Tour betting preview for this week's event.

Memorial Tournament Pick: Sepp Straka (+6600)

Straka is my guy this week, and honestly, he’s been my guy all year. The win is coming, and Muirfield Village feels like the place.

Straka comes off his hometown Austrian Open playing some of the best golf I’ve seen from him. He fed off the crowd's energy and looked completely locked in.

He carries that momentum into one of the best venues on Tour, where his course history speaks for itself.

The fit is almost too perfect. Approach play is the single most important skill at Muirfield Village, and Straka is one of the best iron players in the world. The course sets up beautifully for him.

The only thing standing between him and a victory is the driver, which has been inconsistent at times. But if he can keep it in play even at an average clip, everything else falls into place.

Another bet I'll be placing is ahead of the NBA Finals: Knicks to win the Finals and Straka to win the Memorial at nearly +16000.
