While Friday night's NASCAR XFINITY race found a large enough window to complete the event, the Cup Series was not so lucky on Saturday night.

Heavy rain forced NASCAR to postpone the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway until Sunday at 10 a.m. ET (CNBC).

Unfortunately for NASCAR, this is August in Florida, and there is rain in the forecast once again in Daytona on Sunday, though the early-morning green flag does seem like an attempt to get started before potential heavy rain hits.

So for the second straight day, let's examine the updated NASCAR at Daytona weather forecast, including the chances that rain impacts the Coke Zero Sugar 400 once again on Sunday.

NASCAR Weather Forecast for Daytona

Per the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are likely Sunday in Daytona, though they're expected to hit mainly after 3 p.m. ET.

In looking at the postponed Coke Zero Sugar 400's 10 a.m. ET start, the hourly weather forecast can provide more insight.

At exactly 10 a.m. ET, there's just a 27% chance of rain falling in Daytona, suggesting there's reason to be bullish that the race will start on time.

The chances of precipitation increases to 49% from 11 a.m. ET to 1 p.m. ET, where it then bumps up once again to 69% at 2 p.m. ET.

Based on that data, NASCAR seems to have zeroed in on the driest window of the day.

So the question now becomes whether or not NASCAR can start the Coke Zero Sugar 400 under dry conditions and get the race to at least the half-way point before the rain does come.

NASCAR races are official once they hit halfway, which would be lap 80 of Sunday's scheduled 160-lap event.
