The Warriors have a top mark in terms of expected eFG% but it contrasts with their actual allowed eFG%. This is not a situation ripe for regression, rather it’s an issue with their defense that is not closing out, is allowing easy rotations and easy buckets. This is not a shot variance thing, this is a defensive assignments thing. The Spurs are not exactly good, but they execute well due to Coach Pop. I expect the play design to be on point from SA and they should at least keep this close, especially with GSW on the second game of a B2B where they played a shortened 9 man rotation. If the don’t rest anyone, I’d expect that rotation to expand given the B2B.
