The betting market is just that — a market. Oddsmakers simply open that market with odds, then the market (bettors) take over and shape those lines.
For the first two nights of the NBA’s restart, the market determined that initial over/unders were too low, driving many of these numbers up from open to close.
Thursday’s two matchups ended up falling under the total, but faithful over bettors were rewarded as all six of Friday night’s games cruised pass the closing total.
Saturday offers an all-day, five-game slate and bettors — mostly sharps — are again taking positions on a handful of totals, including Jazz vs. Thunder.
Are pros still betting overs? Or have oddsmakers properly adjusted these numbers?

The Jazz-Thunder total opened at 212 and once again bettors have jumped on the over.
Sixty-five percent of tickets wagered have landed on that side of the total, and Sports Insights’ Bet Signals indicate that wiseguys are among that majority.
Sharps steamed this over three times within the last 24 hours, marking three unique instances in which over money from respected bettors hit the market, forcing oddsmakers to adjust this total higher.
