- The Timberwolves played their first home game since the infamous Jimmy Butler practice fiasco.
- Butler's efficient 33-point performance vs. the Cavaliers appears to have swung T-Wolves fans on his side.
The Minnesota Timberwolves returned to The Target Center Friday night for their regular season home opener vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers.
After getting embarrassed four straight games in the preseason and dropping the first game that actually counts, the Wolves needed something, anything, positive to turn this season around.
Well, it did not come during player introductions as Jimmy Butler was big-time booed…
Lot of boos and cheers(?) for Butler. Hysterical. pic.twitter.com/T91pzj72cS

But then the game started, and crowds don't play the game — the players do. True to form, just like the notorious practice in which he declared "YOU F**KING NEED ME — YOU CAN'T WIN WITHOUT ME", Jimmy Butler showed up dropping 33 points on only 12 shot attempts (WHAT?), including the game-clincher, grabbing 7 rebounds and swiping 4 steals:

Remember those boos? Yeah, they turned into MVP chants just an hour or so later…
