  • In 2019, Matthew Freedman is writing a new series featuring one of his favorite prop bets for each day.
  • On Saturday, he looks at the Rockets-Lakers game (8:30 p.m. ET, ABC) and the fantasy points prop for Houston guard James Harden.

Each day, I publish at least one quick-n’-dirty piece highlighting a favorite prop of mine.

For more information on my research process and the resources I use, see the master list of my 2019 prop bets.

2019 Year-to-Date Record

13-9-2, +11.83 Units

  • Golf: 2-1-0, +1.30 Units
  • NFL: 3-4-0, +6.35 Units
  • NBA: 4-2-0, +1.73 Units
  • NHL: 4-1-2, +3.45 Units
  • NCAAF: 0-1-0. -1.00 Units

Freedman’s Favorite Fantasy Point Prop for Saturday, Jan. 19: James Harden Over/Under 60.5

  • Over: -120
  • Under: -120

This is a bonus prop for today, in addition to Artemi Panarin vs. Cam Atkinson.

Harden offers great value in the Rockets-Lakers game (8:30 p.m. ET, ABC). This line is massively off. In the FantasyLabs NBA Models, we have Harden projected for 72.6 fantasy points (FanDuel scoring).

In his past 10 games, he’s exceeded 60.5 points eight times.

At 60.5, I’d bet it to -200. At -120, I’d bet it to 68.5.

The Pick: Over (-120)
