The Detroit Pistons travel south on Friday to face the Atlanta Hawks. Jalen Duren (14% opening-tip win rate) will be jumping at center against Clint Capela (46% win rate) or Onyeka Okongwu (60% win rate). Capela has been out for the past week with a calf injury but has been upgraded to questionable for tonights game. Neither Atlanta center has faced off against Duren on an opening-tip this season.
The Hawks have been great at scoring first this season with a 56% success rate. The Pistons have been less successful, scoring first in just 35% of games. These teams faced each other twice in October (Isaiah Stewart was playing center at the time). The teams split the tip-offs, but Atlanta scored first in both games with a De'Andre Hunter two point shot and a Trae Young layup.
