NBA Odds: Lakers vs. Mavericks

The Lakers take on the Mavericks on Saturday night, looking for their first win since the recent return of star Anthony Davis.
In the Lakers’ five-point loss to Dallas on Thursday, Davis was a frigid 2-for-10 from the field. This is to be expected as AD is returning from a long absence, and those figures will improve considerably as the season goes on.
Dallas had failed to cover in six straight games before their win over the Lakers on Thursday. The Mavericks will be looking for another solid performance from oft-unavailable big man Kristaps Porzignis, who went for 19 points and 6 rebounds in the win over L.A.
If Porzingis doesn’t suit up on Saturday — he is questionable with a sprained ankle — then Maxi Kleber (who is also questionable with back concerns) and Co. have to step up their games offensively.
Luka Doncic is no stranger to big-time scoring performances to lead his team to victory, but this Lakers team has been a juggernaut on defense all season long, no matter the personnel.
For that reason and a host of others, our latest PRO Report shows that sharp bettors are supporting the under is Saturday’s showdown.
