  • Wednesday's 12-game NBA slate features four player prop bets offering value.
  • This piece will focus on Magic G Terrence Ross, Suns F T.J. Warren, Pelicans PF Anthony Davis and Bulls PF Lauri Markkanen.

Wednesday’s best NBA player props focus on four of the slate’s 12 games:

  • San Antonio Spurs at Orlando Magic: 7 p.m. ET
  • Phoenix Suns at Boston Celtics: 7:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV
  • New Orleans Pelicans at Milwaukee Bucks: 8 p.m. ET
  • Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls: 8 p.m. ET

As a reminder, you can dig deeper on these and many other prop bets by using our FantasyLabs NBA Player Props tool. It leverages our projections against five of the most popular online sportsbooks and grades each prop on a scale of one to 10.

Magic G Terrence Ross

The Pick: Over 13.5 points (-115)

The Magic will be without Nikola Vucevic today vs. the San Antonio Spurs, and Terrence Ross should be one of the biggest beneficiaries on the offensive end.

He’s seen a usage bump of +4.4% with Vucevic off the floor this season, resulting in a team-high mark of 27.6%. He scored 19 points in just 23 minutes in his last contest, so he has the potential to rack up points in a short amount of time.

Ross likely won’t play more than 30 minutes in this contest, so there is a bit of risk here. This bet stops looking like a value around -130.

Suns F T.J. Warren

The Pick: Under 19.5 points (-115)

Warren can get buckets with the best of ‘em and has scored at least 21 points in each of his past four games. That said, there are reasons for pessimism today vs. the Boston Celtics.

For starters, the Celtics rank third in the league in defensive efficiency, and the Suns’ resulting implied team total of 105.5 is one of the lower marks on the slate. The Suns are also 11.5-point underdogs on the road, so this game could easily turn into a blowout.

Finally, Kelly Oubre is expected to make his Phoenix debut tonight, which could result in fewer minutes for Warren.

I like betting unders against the Celtics, and Warren’s scoring prop feels a bit inflated by his recent results. I’d play the under up to -145.

Pelicans PF Anthony Davis

The Pick: Over 12.5 rebounds (-130)

Tonight’s game between the Pelicans and Bucks should be played at a break-neck pace, with both teams currently ranking in the top six in possessions per game. That should lead to a lot of shot attempts, which is obviously a good thing for Davis’ rebounding potential.

The Pelicans are also going to be without both Nikola Mirotic and Julius Randle, and Davis has increased his rebound rate by +1.0% with both players off the court this season. The result is an average of 13.4 rebounds per 36 minutes, and Davis is currently projected for 40 minutes in the FantasyLabs NBA Models.

I think Davis should do the majority of the work on the glass for the Pelicans today. I’d play the over up to -150.

Bulls PF Lauri Markkanen

The Pick: Over 17.5 points (-125)

The Bulls are going to be without Zach LaVine for at least the next two weeks, which means that the starting unit will run largely through Markkanen.

He’s posted a usage rate of 30.0% with LaVine out of the lineup this season, resulting in an average of 21.7 points per 36 minutes. The Bulls have a nice matchup vs. the Nets, who currently rank just 24th in defensive efficiency.

I like the over on this prop up to -150.
