NBA Player Props & Picks

Trae Young, Over 2.5 Three-Pointer Made (-140)

Atlanta Hawks vs. Miami HeatHeat -7

Trae Young had a rough game one to say the least against the Heat. Young finished 1-12 from the field and 0-7 from 3-point land in game one. However, this is going to be a bounce back game for Young in Game 2 against the Heat.

Prior to game one, Young had made at least three 3-pointers in seven straight games, including 16 of the last 21 games. Further, according to NBA Advanced Stats, the Miami Heat finished the season ranked no. 22 in opponent 3-point shots made and no. 27 in opponent 3-point attempts allowed.

Additionally, against the Miami Heat during the season, Young made at least three 3-pointers in three out of the four matchups. In game one, the Hawks got 36 attempts as a team and knocked down only 10. Expect Young to be ready to rebound from Game 1 with plenty of volume from beyond the arc on Tuesday.

Ja Morant, Over 29.5 Points (-115)

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis GrizzliesGrizzlies -7
Time | TV8:30 p.m. ET | NBATV

The Memphis Grizzlies and the Minnesota Timberwolves will square off on Tuesday night in Game 2 from the FedExForum. The Wolves shocked the Grizzlies in Game 1, winning by 13 points to steal home court. This is a big spot for Ja Morant and the Grizzlies to respond.

In Game 1, Morant scored 32 points, aided by 20 attempts from the free throw line. Morant should be more efficient from the floor in Game 2 as he attacks the basket at will like he has all season.

The Grizzlies do not want to go down 0-2 going into Minnesota. One of the big advantages Morant should have is attacking the paint. In Game 1, the Wolves allowed 60 points in the paint, and they will continue to struggle defending it.  Lastly, according to NBA Advanced Stats, Morant led the NBA in points scored in the paint, among qualifying players.
