In the span of a few years, Jordan Poole went from Stephen Curry's mentee to potential running mate to a player the Warriors could not wait to get out of the Bay Area.

Poole has started to regain his confidence since being placed back in a familiar sixth-man role. However, with the Warriors coming off a tough loss on Sunday, it could be a spot for Curry to go off with a little added motivation against Poole's Wizards as we break down our best NBA player props for Tuesday, February 27.

Meanwhile, Trae Young is out for the foreseeable future for the Hawks, but don't expect their games to feature less scoring. Tonight's total sits at 236 points as they host the Jazz. Jordan Clarkson will look to take advantage of the Hawks' porous defense.

Even while on a rebuilding Spurs team, Victor Wembanyama has defended at a high level this season. Tonight, his Spurs will be in Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves, where Wembanyama will look to continue his recent blocks spree.

Let's dive into my top three NBA player props and NBA picks for Tuesday night's slate.

Stephen Curry

Over 27.5 Points

Stephen Curry came out of the All-Star with a flurry, scoring 32 points and draining six 3s against the Lakers on Thursday night. He was tracking for 40 points before the game got out of hand.

Since then, Curry has scored just 35 points combined in his last two games. No one could make anything in Friday's win over the Hornets — the teams combined for only 72 points in the first half, and neither cracked 100 for the game.

Against the Nuggets, Curry shot just 6-for-19 from the field. However, Denver has had Curry and the Warriors' number of late.

One team that Curry has had a lot of success against in his career is the Washington Wizards. In 24 career games against the Wizards, Curry is averaging 29.2 points per game. He has hit this line in six of the last seven meetings, often clearing it with ease. In those games, Curry scored 51, 38, 32, 47, 41 and 30 in the first meeting this season.

This season, Washington ranks 29th in defensive rating and 30th in points allowed per game. It's also 24th in points allowed to point guards.

The Wizards are middle of the pack in terms of defending the 3 this season, but Curry made eight 3s in the first meeting this season and has also made at least five 3s in five of the last seven meetings.

When Curry is rolling, you can expect a barrage of 3s from him. He has made at least six 3s in five of his last eight games and hit this line in four of them.

If he continues his recent dominance over the Wizards, you can back him for 35 points at +330 and 40 points at +750 at FanDuel.

Pick: Curry Over 27.5 Points (-113)

Jazz vs. Hawks

Jordan Clarkson

Over 16.5 Points

Whether it was as a Laker, Cavalier or now with the Jazz, Jordan Clarkson has enjoyed playing the Hawks.

Clarkson is averaging 18.4 points per game in 14 career games against Atlanta. He has scored at least 15 points in each of his last 12 games against the Hawks and cleared this line in eight of them.

In recent years, the Hawks have struggled mightily defensively. They're just ahead of the Wizards in both defensive rating and scoring defense, ranking 28th and 29th, respectively.

Clarkson has scored 23 and 24 points in his last two games against Atlanta, so he will have no problem hitting this line if he gets hot from deep.

Clarkson has made at least three 3s in four of his past six games. In those four games, he has attempted at least seven, so the volume has been there. He should find opportunities against a Hawks team that's allowing 14 3s per game and ranks 28th in 3-point percentage defense.

Despite shooting just 33.6& from deep, Clarkson has also made five combined 3s in his last two games against Atlanta.

Clarkson sits at +220 to make three 3s and +700 to make four 3s at FanDuel. However, he has also scored 22 points twice in his last five games. You can back him to 20 score points at +190 and 25 points at +650 at FanDuel.

For what it's worth, he has 17 20-point games and eight 25-point games this season.

Pick: Clarkson Over 16.5 Points (-104)

Victor Wembanyama

Over 4.5 Steals + Blocks

Defensively, the Spurs are in the cellar with the Hawks and Wizards and rank 24th in defensive rating. That will likely keep Victor Wembanyama from winning Defensive Player of the Year as a rookie.

However, he's doing all he can individually. Wembanyama has had five "stocks" (steals and blocks) in four of his past five games, and he finished with four in the other. Yet, even that's selling him short.

The rookie sensation has had at least 10 stocks in three of those games. In Toronto, he blocked 10 shots as part of his second career triple-double. He narrowly missed a 5x5 game by one assist against the Kings and got it the next night against the Lakers.

And it's not like he has accomplished this against a bunch of teams playing small.

In this span, he has faced Domantas Sabonis, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, John Collins, Walker Kessler and Lauri Markkanen. However, playing against those bigs has also helped him rack up blocks because they're going to challenge him inside.

He'll be going against another top frontcourt against Minnesota with Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert on the other side. Plus, Wembanyama may have a bit of added motivation going against his fellow countryman in Gobert.

This line is available with the best odds at Caesars, but you can also take him for one steal and three blocks at FanDuel at -115. Here, he would just have to get four combined.

He has a steal in nine of his last 10 games and in all three meetings against Minnesota. The Timberwolves also rank 19th in turnovers per game.

However, Wembanyama has mostly gotten to this line with blocks. He has blocked five shots in four of his last five games and finished with three in the other. We can still bet him to swat five shots at +380 at FanDuel.

Pick: Wembanyama Over 4.5 Steals + Blocks (-119)
