  • While most bettors are focused on college basketball today, sharps are still hitting the NBA slate.
  • They've caused line moves on two games tonight, including Lakers-Raptors (8 p.m. ET, TNT).
  • Sports Insights' Bet Signals and betting market percentages help reveal the sharp plays.

As has been the case throughout the week, conference tournaments are stealing most of the shine from the NBA. But while some public bettors may be tossing the NBA aside for the time being, sharps certainly aren't.

They've hit two games on tonight's six-game slate, headlined by Lakers-Raptors at 8 p.m. ET (TNT).

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Orlando Magic

7 p.m. ET | FS-OH

Sharp angle: Magic (moved from -7 to -8)

While it may be the least intriguing game on tonight's NBA slate, this one has drawn perhaps the most action from sharp bettors throughout the day so far.

The Magic are the more popular bet, but given this game's overall lack of popularity, it wouldn't be fair to call them a "public" play — at least not yet.

In any case, the bettors behind Orlando look to be of the sharper variety, based on both money percentages and Bet Signals.

The 64% of bets on the Magic have generated 88% of actual money being wagered on the matchup. That certainly creates a monetary liability for sportsbooks, but more importantly, the discrepancy shows where the bigger bets are going — the ones more likely to be made by sharps.

Sports Insights' Bet Signals have also revealed wiseguys causing market-wide line movement by hitting the Magic at -7 and -7.5.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Toronto Raptors

8 p.m. ET | TNT

Sharp angle: Lakers (moved from +9.5 to +9)

From its opening number, this line appears to have only budged by a half-point, but the movement throughout the day has been much more than that.

Initial action — including even a bit from sharps — caused oddsmakers to boost the line up to 10.5. That's when the real influx of professional action came down on LA.

Since that point, the Lakers have drawn three SI Bet Signals, revealing wiseguys hitting lines of +10.5 and +10 to create the current number.

Just as convincing has been the discrepancy between bets and money. While the Lakers have picked up only 32% of bettors, those bettors have accounted for an impressive 76% of actual money being wagered.

Once again, that not only creates a monetary liability, but shows that the Lakers are getting much bigger bets, and we know where those come from.
