Santa Clara vs. Gonzaga Odds & Betting Predictions - January 9, 2026

Out of 360 D1 teams, the Zags are the 13th-worst culprit of playing down to their competition per Evan Miya. They get up for the big ones, like Alabama and Oregon, UCLA, but then need OT to beat Seattle. Mark Few is 2-5 ATS in his last seven, and that San Diego performance showed their disinterest in winning big. They were up 21 with seven to go and SD cut it to 5 in the closing seconds.  This Broncos team has the scoring to keep pace at this number, particularly if they have a big night on the glass (5th in O reb). Freshman Allen Graves has been fantastic off the bench, and does most of his work on the offensive glass. I trust Herb Sendek, in the last five full seasons, he’s hit 20 wins or more every time, seven wins in March Madness. He’s not afraid of Gonzaga, beat them at the Kennel last year, beat them at home the year before that. The aura isn’t there when Santa Clara takes on the Zags, I’ll take the points.
