Welcome back to another edition of my player props.

We got back on track last week by fading a team's leading scorer. This week, we're keeping that theme, except turning our attention to the nation's leading scorer.

Read below for my top three college basketball player props and NCAAB picks for Saturday, February 28.

College Basketball Player Props for Saturday, Feb. 28

  • Chris Cenac Over 10.5 Points (-120, bet365)
  • Hannes Steinbach Over 10.5 Rebounds (-112 bet365)
  • AJ Dybantsa Under 25.5 Points (-110, bet365)

Shockingly, the Houston Cougars have run cold, losing three straight Big 12 games. In those matchups, they have been outgunned by elite scorers, but they have plenty of offensive artillery of their own, and we should see one man on full display this afternoon.

Big man Chris Cenac has been a consistent contributor in the point column this season as he's averaged 9.5 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the floor.

Cenac scoring is highly correlated to the Cougars winning, as he's gone over this total in 12 games, all of which were Houston victories. This afternoon, he and the Cougars are expected to score a ton against a Colorado team that is 290th in points allowed and has been burned from beyond the arc.

Cenac is not a high-volume perimeter shooter, but he is a 33 percent three-point shooter, and even one deep ball will be huge for his point total, as his inside work is much more consistent.

Look for Cenac to snap his cold streak and go over this mark for the first time in six games.

Pick: Chris Cenac Over 10.5 Points -120

Next, we turn our attention to a dominant force in the paint for the Washington Huskies, Hannes Steinbach. The 6'11" freshman has been one of the most consistent rebounders, averaging 11.2 per game, but has only had eight games where he did not record double-digit rebounds.

We should see him battle on the glass for the duration of this matchup as the Badgers have size to match him inside. Although his upside is high because his presence will be necessary, and the Badgers do not draw many fouls with their perimeter shooting approach.

Back to Steinbach to be a vacuum on the glass today.

Pick: Hannes Steinbach Over 10.5 Rebounds -112

Lastly, it may seem crazy to fade a scorer the likes of AJ Dybantsa. Dybantsa leads the country in scoring with an average of 25 points per game.

Well, his average is where his total lies in a very below-average matchup. He will have to contend with a West Virginia team that contains its opposition by defending the paint very well and slowing the game down to a snail's pace.

We should see their defensive intensity crank up, especially on Dybantsa. They will do everything possible to contain him, keep him under this total.

After all, despite this total being his average, his higher-scoring games are the outliers. Dybantsa has gone under this number in 61 percent of games this year, and this matchup will only add to that tally.

Pick: AJ Dybantsa Under 25.5 Points -110
