Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is attempting to transform the entertainment landscape in Atlantic City (again).
In partnership with Big Night, a live music, entertainment, and hospitality group from New England, Borgata Casino is set to reinvent the former Premier Nightclub space into a new, expansive entertainment venue.
The news comes, not long after, Borgata and BetMGM Casino announced they are working together to launch a new slot game called Triple Treasure.
The Premier Nightclub Legacy at Borgata Casino
Premier Nightclub at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City opened in 2016 and quickly became a standout destination for nightlife.
Designed by renowned nightclub designer Josh Held, who has worked on venues like Marquee in New York and Tao in Las Vegas, Premier was an impressive 18,000-square-foot venue.
It featured eye-catching elements, such as two massive 35-foot bars, a six-foot disco ball, a grand chandelier, tiered seating, and a distinctive horseshoe-shaped mezzanine.
The nightclub left a significant mark on Atlantic City's nightlife, famously attracting top DJs like DJ Pauly D, James Kennedy, and Laidback Luke. Premier Nightclub was synonymous with luxury and high-energy experiences in Atlantic City, and played a major role in shaping the modern vibe of the city's nightlife scene.
MGM Resorts invested $14 million into Premier after acquiring full control of Borgata in 2016, marking it as a flagship project. The club competed with top venues in nightlife hubs such as Las Vegas, Miami, and New York.
After nearly a decade of operation, Premier Nightclub closed on August 31, 2025.
A New Vision for Entertainment at Borgata Casino
This closure is part of Borgata's broader strategy to refresh the property, which includes:

- Dining
- Bar areas

The collaboration with Big Night signals a shift away from the traditional nightclub environment towards a more versatile entertainment hub. The slated transformation is part of Borgata's ongoing commitment to enhance guest experiences across the resort.
The remodeled venue, occupying the same 18,000 square feet, promises to host a myriad of performances, special events, and dynamic programming. This evolution aligns with Borgata's strategy of reinvesting in its property, as seen with recent upgrades to its gaming floor, high-limit areas, and amenities.

While specific details and an opening date have yet to be disclosed, the involvement of Big Night speaks volumes.
