Las Vegas, known for its entertainment and casinos, is facing a challenge in the summer of 2025. Fewer people are visiting and gambling, so hotels and casinos are offering special deals to attract more guests.

From unlimited drinks to downtown hotels, there's something for everyone.

It's just another way Las Vegas is trying to revive its reputation as an affordable vacation spot.

Las Vegas Visitation Numbers: A Summer Swoon

Despite historically high visitation numbers, the current trend in Sin City shows a downturn in traveler interest, impacting both the city's economy and its gaming industry.

  • Las Vegas has experienced a sustained drop in visitor numbers throughout 2025. As of May, visitation fell for the fifth consecutive month, with a 6.5% year-over-year decrease, totaling just under 3.5 million visitors for the month.

  • For the first four months of 2025, visitation was down 6.5% compared to 2024, representing nearly 1 million fewer visitors. February had the steepest monthly decline at 12%, followed by 8% in March and 5% in April.

  • The decline is attributed to reduced international travel (notably from Canada and Mexico), economic uncertainty, and fewer major events compared to 2024 (when Las Vegas hosted the Super Bowl)

With competition from other travel destinations and changing consumer preferences, Las Vegas casinos are getting creative to lure back their crowds.

All-Inclusive Packages: A New Trend for Las Vegas Casinos

In response to declining visitation, many Las Vegas hotel-casinos are offering new packages brimming with incentives, hoping to reignite enthusiasm among travelers.

While traditionally associated with other vacation destinations, all-inclusive packages are making a splash in Las Vegas this summer. Major resorts are now bundling deals that encompass room rates, dining credits, and access to amenities.

For example, the STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower offers a "Summer of Value" package with competitive daily rates and bonuses like complimentary tower admission.

Las Vegas hotel and casinos have launched summer promotions that features no resort fees and a handful of other enticing perks.
The Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower is offering special deals to attract more visitors to Las Vegas this summer.

Meanwhile, the Golden Nugget Las Vegas has crafted a two-night package with spa and pool credits to enhance guest experiences.

Circa Resort & Casino offers a fixed-price, all-in summer package with activities and no hidden fees, available through early September. The Venetian, Palazzo, Red Rock, and Treasure Island are also providing summer packages with various inclusions, often bundled with flights via travel sites.

Other casino-goers are even taking advantage of charter flight packages.

Unique Perks and Events: More Than Just Gambling

To differentiate themselves and provide more value to visitors, several Vegas hotels are offering unique perks and events.

For instance, the Plaza Hotel and Casino not only eliminated resort fees this summer, but it also features a "Firework Friday" event, adding a communal, celebratory feel to the stay.

Ensuring that guests have more than just gaming on their itinerary, these packages often combine physical experiences with tempting dining deals and entertainment options like bottomless drinks or discounted shows.

Downtown Hotel-Casinos Also Taking Part

Off-Strip properties are also rolling out summer-long deals and promos to entice gamblers.

The Downtown Grand is getting in the mix by introducing the "Gambler’s Retreat,” which offers budget-friendly nightly rates, complimentary slot play and dining credits, and other perks such as early check-in and free parking.

This package aims to attract price-conscious travelers looking for value in their accommodations.

With the steady drop in visitors and gambling income, Las Vegas hotels and casinos are increasingly offering special deals filled with incentives to attract more guests.
Downtown Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos are also offering incentive-laden packages this summer.
Fremont Street is the heart of downtown and the location where Las Vegas began. The Fremont Street Experience is a pedestrian mall and entertainment district that encompasses five blocks of Fremont Street.

The Future of Vegas: A New Wave of Promotional Strategies

As Las Vegas faces the challenge of dwindling visitation numbers, its hotel-casinos are stepping up with inventive packages and promotions aimed at reviving traveler interest.

From all-inclusive stays to fee waivers and freebies, the city is reenergizing its offerings to appeal to both regular and new visitors. Whether these efforts can successfully restore Vegas's status as a prime tourist destination remains to be seen, but as the city continues to adapt to these changes, it remains an ever-evolving destination poised to attract a broad range of travelers.
