Ohio casino revenue continued its steady climb in June 2026, according to the latest report from the Ohio Casino Control Commission. The state’s four land-based casinos brought in $84.87 million in gross revenue for the month, which was up 3.5% from June 2025.
The growth shows that Ohio’s casino market remains stable, even though June was a little softer than the stronger spring months. Still, the numbers point to a healthy Ohio casino industry that continues to rely heavily on slot machines to drive most of its revenue.
The new figures are released as the candidates for Ohio Governor debate where online casinos fit in the future of The Buckeye State.
Slots Lead the Way
Slots once again carried the biggest share of the total. Ohio casinos generated $62.77 million from slots in June, a 4.1% increase year over year. That figure made up the large majority of statewide casino revenue.
Table games also posted a gain, bringing in $22.10 million for the month, up 1.7% from the same time last year. While table games remain an important part of the mix, slots continue to be the main engine behind Ohio casino performance.
The monthly report also showed strong activity on the gaming floor. Slot coin-in, which measures the amount wagered, reached about $830.3 million. The payout percentage was 92.44%, which is in line with normal casino play. Table games had a drop of $94.87 million, with a payout percentage of 76.71%.

Ohio’s Four Casinos Remain Consistent
Ohio’s four casinos — Jack Cleveland Casino, Hollywood Columbus, Hard Rock Cincinnati, and Hollywood Toledo — have now established a pattern of steady growth. In 2025, the four properties set a record by generating $1.03 billion in annual revenue, which was up 3% from the year before.
The numbers came in below the stronger spring months, including May’s $95.7 million and April’s $93.4 million. That kind of slowdown is not unusual and often reflects seasonal changes in player traffic.
June’s slight slowdown did not change the bigger picture: Ohio casino revenue is still growing at a measured pace. That steady performance stands out in a market where real money online casinos are not legal, but sweepstakes casinos are available to Ohio players.

What the Revenue Means for Ohio
Ohio taxes gross casino revenue at 33%, and those funds are distributed to several public programs and local governments. The largest share goes to county budgets, while other money supports student funds, host cities, racing commissions, and problem gambling programs.
That means every monthly update does more than show casino performance. It also helps support services and communities across the state.
Ohio’s broader gaming market remains strong as well. The state’s racinos and sports betting operations are reported separately, but they add another layer to Ohio’s overall gambling economy. Sports betting in particular has continued to post strong results, and combined with casinos, it shows that gaming remains a major part of the state’s entertainment landscape.
Although the discussion about online casino continues.
A Stable Market for Ohio Casino Fans
The June 2026 report points to a market that is growing, but not in dramatic spikes. Instead, Ohio casino revenue is moving in a steady and dependable direction, with slots leading the way and table games adding support.
For players, operators, and state officials, that is a sign of stability. Ohio’s casinos are not just holding their own — they are continuing to build on a strong foundation.
If the current trend continues, Ohio casino revenue could stay on pace for another solid year in 2026.
