Steelers vs. Browns Preview & Underdog Picks
Pittsburgh travels to Cleveland for the Browns' only scheduled primetime game of the season, and the AFC North rivalry adds extra juice to Thursday night. The Browns sit as home underdogs on the spread, while the total lands in the high 30s, a number that points to real scoring chances for the skill players below.
This clean, nationally televised stage makes a great spot to test the Underdog promo code TOPACTION on the first Thursday of October.
Aaron Rodgers: More than 21.5 Passing Completions
Aaron Rodgers operates as a high-volume, short-area passer, and that style sets up well for the More than 21.5 passing completions line. Pittsburgh's offense leans on quick throws to backs and slot receivers, a tendency that keeps Rodgers' completion totals steady even in games with modest overall yardage. Cleveland's defense forces checkdowns by pressuring the pocket, which only adds more short completions to Rodgers' final line. Backing Rodgers to clear 21.5 completions fits a game script where Pittsburgh controls the clock on the road.
Denzel Boston: More than 38.5 Receiving Yards
Denzel Boston has grown into a bigger part of Cleveland's passing game as a rookie, using his size to win contested catches on the outside. Boston's role as an X-receiver earns him consistent snaps regardless of which quarterback starts under center for the Browns. A Pittsburgh secondary that gives up chunk plays to bigger receivers plays right into Boston's skill set on early downs and in the red zone. More than 38.5 receiving yards is an attainable number for a player trending toward a larger target share each week.
Raheim Sanders: More than 11.5 Receiving Yards
Raheim Sanders carves out receiving work from the backfield even in a crowded Cleveland committee, and that role supports the More than 11.5 Receiving Yards line. Sanders catches checkdowns on passing downs, and Pittsburgh's linebackers often struggle to match up with backs releasing into the flat. Sanders only needs one or two completed targets to clear this number, making it one of the steadier plays on the board tonight.
