Thursday Night Football in Week 3 features a big AFC East showdown as the Dolphins take on the Bills.
De'Von Achane brings his explosive speed to Miami’s offense, while rookie Ray Davis looks to carve out a role in Buffalo’s backfield. Wideout Khalil Shakir also has the chance to shine as a reliable target for Josh Allen in primetime.
For my top NFL PrizePicks and Underdog plays, I’m spotlighting Achane, Davis, and Shakir under the lights.

The preseason hype was palpable around De'Von Achane as his history of explosive plays and little competition in the Dolphins' backfield had season-long fantasy players salivating over his potential.
However, through two games, it's clear that one thing went unaccounted for: the game script.
Two losses in two games for Miami have equated to just 18 total carries for the Dolphins' lead back. He did miss all of preseason with an ankle injury, so a slower start in workload may have been expected, but he's made up for it with his passing work.
Although, as far as the ground game goes, he is not in line to get many carries as the Dolphins are nearly two-touchdown underdogs.
Fade Achane again here as a trailing game makes him a receiving option rather than a rushing option.
Next, we're going to stay on the ground here and target the Bills' backup running back, Ray Davis.
Davis is third on the team in rushing share and has only had 10 carries on the season, with nine of them coming in a blowout win over the Jets last week.
While it is likely he could see more carries late in the game here, his efficiency takes away from his opportunity to surpass this total. In the same role in 2024, Davis averaged just 3.8 yards per carry and he has gotten off to a rough start in 2025, averaging just 2.4 yards per carry.
Unless he can break an extended run, Davis would need well over the rushing attempts that he typically sees to reach this total.
Lastly, I am focusing on Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir.
Shakir is essentially a veteran in this Bills' passing attack as his role has expanded over the past three seasons.
Shakir is third on the team in targets, but is tied for the team lead in red-zone targets. However, he is in an offense that does not throw the ball much in the red zone.
Regardless, Shakir's skill set makes him a weapon in the red zone as the Bills often use screens to get him the ball in space with blockers in front of him to reach paydirt.
The Dolphins defense has been throttled to this point through the air, allowing 1.5 touchdowns per game to opposing wide receivers.
Shakir is undoubtedly worth the look if the Buffalo decides to get creative in the red zone.
