  • Jason Sobel picked his favorite tournament matchup bets including Emiliano Grillo vs. Andrew Putnam.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — It's officially Waste Management Phoenix Open week, which means we need to get ready for myriad camera shots of boisterous fans cheering in unison.

Wanna cheer along with 'em? Then go win some bets.

Here are my three favorite matchups on the board for the tournament. For my favorite first-round bets, click here.

Jason Kokrak over Si Woo Kim (-120)

The big hitting Kokrak has gained some consistency, while Kim remains an all-or-nothing kind of guy. Don’t be surprised if this bet cashes by Friday afternoon.

Emiliano Grillo over Andrew Putnam (-110)

As mentioned previously, this could be a big Grillo week. I like him as an OAD pick, a top-10 prop and, yes, in any matchup you can get him.

Sungjae Im over Kyle Stanley (-105)

Just about an even-money matchup for Im against Stanley? Give me the kid that everyone on the PGA Tour has been talking about recently.

Cameron Smith over Matt Kuchar (+110)

Another duplicate from earlier in the column, but I’m a big believer in Smith’s momentum. Meanwhile, Kuchar’s already peaked; it’s tough to see him doing it again.
