The PGA Tour season continues this weekend with its final Signature Event, the Travelers Championship, which will tee off tomorrow morning from TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.

While it's not uncommon to see top players take the week after a major tournament off, that's not the case this week given the Signature Event status and $20 million purse, as 45 of the top-50 players in the world are in this week's field, including the entire top 10.

With Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and recently crowned U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun set to take the course, our experts have broken down all of the angles and come out with their 2025 Travelers Championship best bets and golf picks for this weekend on the PGA Tour.

Viktor Hovland Over Robert MacIntyre (-118)

By Justin Van Zuiden

I love this head-to-head spot for Viktor Hovland. Both Hovland and Robert MacIntyre were in the mix for the U.S. Open last week, but the loss was likely a little more gut-wrenching for MacIntyre given that he was tied for the lead in the final two holes.

The bigger argument for Hovland is that he ranked second in the field in Strokes Gained: Around the Green last week out of the golfers who made the cut. That is a monumental development for a player that has often struggled with chipping.

Hovland appears very confident coming out of that performance, and he's the better all-around golfer if the chipping is working.

With the advantage of distance being negated on this course, I don't love MacIntyre, making this my favorite head-to-head tournament bet.

Luke Clanton Top-10 Finish (+600)

By Dan Back

I'm taking a flier on Luke Clanton, the newly-turned professional bomber. This isn't a particularly long course (third-shortest on tour), but it does set up to be a birdie-fest.

Clanton finished second in the RSM in the fall, so there is no question he has the game to compete against this level of player.

Maybe my favorite reason for taking a shot on Clanton is he got a break from the physical and mental beating many of these other guys had last week in the U.S. Open.

Calling an outright win seems unlikely, but a top-10 finish definitely feels possible this week.

Sepp Straka Outright Winner (+3000, 0.5u)

Sepp Straka has played himself into a new tier of players in terms of where he is regularly priced in the market, but this is a great spot for him as well.

Straka is inside the top 15 in birdie or better% and total strokes gained when looking at short and easy courses, and his strong accuracy off-the-tee should be helpful here as well.

Shane Lowry Top-20 Finish (+140)

Last week was nothing short of a disaster for Shane Lowry at the U.S. Open, and he was caught saying some not-so-nice things about Oakmont by a hot mic on the course. I’m sure he wasn’t the only one.

The good news is that he should be able to quickly put those two rounds in the rearview mirror, and the longer-term form is still fantastic. Lowry ranks second in this field on approach and third in ball striking over the last 36 rounds, and he has finished 19th and 9th in the last two editions of this tournament.

We are getting favorable odds after last week. I'll sprinkle some on the win, a top 10, and a top 20.

Justin Thomas Over Ludvig Aberg (-105)

By Kyle Murray

You can argue that Ludvig Aberg has better recent form than Justin Thomas, as Aberg has two top-20 finishes in his last three starts, but I really like JT this week.

Over the last two years, Thomas leads this field in Strokes Gained: Short and Easy Courses. Prior to his two missed cuts at the most recent majors, Thomas had six top-10s in his previous 10 starts.

So while he has struggled at some of the tougher courses, I like him to get back on track here at a birdie fest.
