2024 NBA Championship Odds: Celtics Favored with Nuggets, Clippers, Bucks Close Behind After Break

The NBA is about two-thirds of the way through the season as players get ready to return from the All-Star break.

With a third of the season remaining, it's time to take a look at the playoff situation — and the favorites to win the NBA Finals.

The Boston Celtics are the favorites to win the NBA Finals as we head out of the break. The Denver Nuggets are the second favorite as they prepare to defend their title.

There appear to be five teams the sportsbooks consider legitimate contenders: the Celtics, Nuggets, Clippers, Bucks and Suns. Then there are a couple of teams that are considered dark horses in the Knicks and Timberwolves.

The Lakers and 76ers are two teams that started the season as contenders and have had disappointing seasons so far. But they still are scary teams for whoever matches up with them in the playoffs, if they can sneak in.
