There won't be much to play for when the Los Angeles Clippers take on the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, but that doesn't mean sharp bettors are staying away from the contest.
The Clippers are locked into the eighth position in the West and the accompanying play-in game(s) that will come with that, while the Suns secured the No. 1 seed a while ago and set a franchise win record Tuesday in a victory against the Lakers.
Phoenix and Los Angeles have three games left on their regular-season schedules, so you can expect the Suns to try and take advantage of this period to rest guys and prepare for the playoff stretch ahead with every possible regular season goal achieved.
However, it might not be that straightforward for the Clippers, who are still trying to play as a cohesive unit and face one or two crucial play-in games before they even get their chance as underdogs in the playoffs.
The Clippers are more likely to have a true goal with this game, but this is a professional league after all and those that do wind up playing for the Suns will likely be giving their best effort.
