Here's everything you need to know about Warriors vs. Timberwolves on Sunday, Mar. 24 — our expert prediction and betting picks for today's game.

The Warriors will travel to Minnesota to try and pull off a road upset over a Timberwolves squad that has been clicking on all cylinders. Can Golden State find success in this must-win game?

Let's dive into our Warriors vs Timberwolves prediction and pick.

Golden State Warriors

This is a crucial game for the Warriors, who are now 1.5 games back of the 9-seed and only two games ahead of the Rockets to remain as the 10-seed and in the play-in. Golden State has dropped three of its last five games and has lost twice as favorites at home over its last three games.

This is a matchup the Warriors have struggled in this season, as they lost both their games against the Timberwolves back in November. Minnesota will be without Karl-Anthony Towns this time around while Rudy Gobert and Anthony Edwards are currently questionable. Monitor that injury report since Gobert is the league’s most impactful defender and Edwards is the Timberwolves' entire offense right now.

The Warriors will need to make their 3s to win this game. This is a massive mismatch for them in the paint assuming Gobert ends up playing. Golden State ranks dead last in offensive rim rate while Minnesota ranks seventh-best in defensive rim rate and fourth-best in rim FG% allowed. Expect the Warriors to rely on their shooters on offense here.

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves have been in great form despite the Towns injury, going 4-1 straight up and 5-0 ATS over their last five games.

This Warriors defense has been awful over their last 10 games, ranking 26th in defensive rating while allowing 120.4 points per 100 possessions. This should be a difficult matchup for them considering the Timberwolves will have size advantages at almost every position on the floor. The Warriors have been playing Draymond Green at the five while Kevon Looney is essentially out of the rotation, so expect the Timberwolves to have some offensive rebounding chances.

If the Timberwolves can attack Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson on the perimeter, they should be able to have success here.

Betting Pick & Prediction

I actually like the Warriors on the moneyline here. I just think they will come out with much more urgency than the Timberwolves in this spot. Golden State is playing for its season while Minnesota is locked into a top-three seed at this point.

I also think the Warriors offense being less reliant on rim attempts is an obvious advantage when facing Gobert and this Timberwolves defense. If the Warriors can knock down their 3s, I think they can pull off this road upset against a banged-up Timberwolves squad.

Pick: Warriors Moneyline (+130)
