Lakers Playoff Odds: How Nuggets Series Affected Odds After Win vs. Pelicans

The Lakers have seen their odds reasonably skyrocket as a result of their win over the Pelicans in the play-in game.

Despite a 10 point lead at halftime, they let that dwindle to a tied game with just over three minutes to go.

The game then went back-and-forth before the Lakers pulled away in crunch time — but it wasn't easy. Still, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and company held on.

Now, they face the Nuggets in the first round of the NBA playoffs. The Lakers opened as +315 underdogs at FanDuel to move on this series against a team they haven't beaten since Dec. 2022, including four straight losses in the playoffs. The Nuggets opened as -400 favorites to advance.

The Lakers had been been +3300 underdogs to win the NBA championship prior to the play-in game. That number moved up to +2600 after the victory, moving ahead of the Knicks in the process.

No other odds across the marketplace changed. The Lakers are still behind these teams on the odds board at FanDuel.
