As we approach what could be the final game of this roller-coaster NBA season, I wanted to get a bit creative on how I attacked Bam Adebayo’s props. The Heat big man has been a consistent contributor this series, averaging 22.3 points and 12.5 rebounds.

Where I landed was a mini same game parlay, involving Adebayo to score at least 18 points and grab 9 rebounds. It’s a line he’s hit in all four games this series, and with the Heat’s backs against the wall, I expect Adebayo to come through for us in Game 5.

After a pedestrian series against the Celtics, Adebayo has come out firing in the Finals. He has attempted 19.8 shots per game in the series, as his matchup against Nikola Jokic is one that the Heat are looking to attack. The Kentucky product has logged 17.3 paint plus elbow touches per game in the Finals, compared to just 12.9 in the previous series.

Even with subpar shooting numbers (45%), sheer volume alone has willed Bam to at least 20 points in each of the four games this series. And he’s cleaned the glass well. His 18.8 rebound chances per 41 minutes is consistent with his per minute averages from the regular season when Bam averaged 10.1 rebounds per 38 minutes. In fact, Adebayo has grabbed at least nine rebounds in 11 of the 13 games this postseason in which he’s played at least 38 minutes.

With the two-time All Star playing at least 40 minutes in each Finals game thus far, his minutes figure to be through the roof in a win-or-go-home scenario. I have Bam projected at 22 points and 11 rebounds tonight, and I would also be comfortable playing his points + rebounds line at over 30.5.
