Wednesday’s NBA Injury News

3:30 p.m. ET Update: In a surprise turn of events, Karl-Anthony Towns is expected to return on Wednesday after missing the previous 13 games due to COVID-19, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium. There is no word on if he’ll have a strict minutes limit in his first game back

The list of notable players who have been rule out of Wednesday’s games is rather long. The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who has returned to the injury report with a sprained left knee. Paul George didn’t travel with the Los Angeles Clippers to Minnesota as he continues to nurse a right toe injury. Jrue Holiday will miss the Milwaukee Bucks’ matchup with the Phoenix Suns due to health and safety protocols.

Topping the list of key players to watch for Wednesday is Suns point guard Chris Paul who is questionable with a sore hamstring. Paul missed his first game of the season Monday, which was the second game of a back-to-back set. The Suns have also listed Jae Crowder and Abdel Nader as questionable for Wednesday.

D’Angelo Russell is questionable to suit up for the Timberwolves after he re-aggravated his a leg injury on Monday night. Karl-Anthony Towns is doubtful to play as he continues to improve his conditioning after contracting COVID-19.

Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso are questionable to play Wednesday against the Thunder at home. Davis missed Monday’s game with a sore Achilles and has played through an assortment of injuries this season.
