NBA Injury News & Starting Lineups (January 12): Kyrie Irving and James Harden Cleared to Play Wednesday article feature image

Below are the projected starting lineups for each team playing on Wednesday's NBA slate, along with notable injury news for each squad. For real-time injury updates, check out our FantasyLabs NBA news page

NBA Injury News

8 p.m. ET Update: Kyrie Irving and James Harden have been cleared to play. Nic Claxton will sit out Wednesday.


7 p.m. ET Update: Seth Curry has been cleared to return to the court after missing the Sixers' last game with a sore ankle.

Cam Reddish and Clint Capela have been ruled out for the Atlanta Hawks. John Collins and De'Andre Hunter have been cleared to play.


6 p.m. ET Update: Kemba Walker has been ruled out for the New York Knicks with knee soreness. Taj Gibson and Nerlens Noel have been cleared to play.

Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert have been cleared to return to the court for the Indiana Pacers. Marcus Smart has been ruled out for the Boston Celtics with a thigh contusion.

Hassan Whiteside has entered health and safety protocols and is out of tonight's game for the Utah Jazz. Norvel Pelle, their lone back up center on the roster is questionable with a non-COVID illness.


Kyrie Irving, who suffered an ankle sprain while chasing a loose ball, is listed as questionable Wednesday. Irving is only available to play in road games and the Brooklyn Nets are in Chicago to face the Bulls. James Harden and Nic Claxton are also questionable to suit up. Harden sat out their previous game with a hyperextended knee and Claxton is dealing with hamstring tightness.

Kemba Walker is questionable to play for the New York Knicks after missing the past six games with a sore knee. Nerlens Noel is questionable due to conditioning after sitting out the past 10 games.

Seth Curry is questionable to return to the lineup for the Philadelphia 76ers after sitting out their most recent game with a sore ankle. Tobias Harris is listed as probable despite dealing with a sore shoulder.

Malcolm Brogdon is again listed as questionable for the Indiana Pacers after missing eight straight games with a sore Achilles. Caris LeVert is also questionable due to conditioning after clearing health and safety protocols. LeVert hasn't played a game in 2021.

De'Andre Hunter is questionable to play for the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday. Hunter has been out since Nov. 14 after undergoing wrist surgery. Cam Reddish is also questionable with a write ankle sprain.
