NBA Injury News & Starting Lineups (January 7): Trae Young Questionable, Giannis Antetokounmpo Probable Friday

NBA Injury News

Giannis Antetokounmpo is probable to play Friday against the Brooklyn Nets after sitting out on Wednesday with a non-COVID related illness.

Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert are among the many players on the Utah Jazz roster who are either out or questionable to play. Mitchell is out with back soreness and Gobert has entered into health and safety protocols. Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles have also been ruled out. Jordan Clarkson, Rudy Gay, Royce O'Neale and Hassan Whiteside are questionable with various injuries.

Luka Doncic is doubtful for the Dallas Mavericks ahead of their game against the Houston Rockets. Doncic played the past three games after returning from health and safety protocols but has been dealing with a sore ankle throughout the season.

Trae Young, John Collins and Bogan Bogdanovic are questionable to play Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Collins and Bogdanovic have cleared health and safety protocols and are awaiting clearance based on their conditioning. Young sat out their most recent game with back soreness.
