The Pistons are off to a strong start in the second round of this year's playoffs after being forced to seven games by the Orlando Magic in Round 1. Now they're up 1-0 against the Cavaliers, and Cade Cunningham's scoring has been one of their most dependable strengths.

While Cunningham only trailed Nikola Jokic in assists per game (9.9) during the regular season, he's had to take on a more aggressive role as a shooter this postseason. The supersized point guard is averaging a playoff-high 31.3 points per game, and no player has shot the ball more times per game (21.9).

The Pistons are averaging 103.5 points per game have needed Cunningham's buckets more than his playmaking so far. That's why his assist average is down to 7.1 through eight playoff games.

He's been under this line in four of his past five games.

The Cavaliers now held Cunningham to fewer than eight assists four times in five meetings this year, if you include Game 1 of this series.

Look for him to continue prioritizing getting his own shot. Bettors should feel confident taking the under on his assist total in Game 2.

Pick: Cade Cunningham Under 9.5 Assists (-118)

The Thunder dominated once again in Game 1 of their second-round series with the Lakers.

Jalen Williams missed his third consecutive playoff contest, but other players have been able to step up in his place. Ajay Mitchell is the replacement starter, but Chet Holmgren has arguably stepped up his game the most as of late.

The Gonzaga product averaged 17.1 points per game with and without Williams during the regular season, and his shot volume is on the rise. He's averaged 19.3 points on 13.0 attempts per contest, while shooting 50.0% or better from the field and beyond the arc since Williams suffered a grade 1 hamstring strain.

Holmgren logged less than 23.0 minutes per game against the Lakers during the regular season, but he's played 31.5 minutes per game over his previous three playoff outings.

The Thunder have needed more offense from him with Williams out, and he's responded by posting 24 points in back-to-back performances.

Action PRO projects him for 18.4 points tonight.

Holmgren is most likely to serve as the second option behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in Game 2.

Picks: Chet Holmgren Over 16.5 Points (-105)
