  • Alex Hinton has zeroed in on three guards worth betting, including Jordan Clarkson and Jordan Poole.
  • Read on for his NBA player prop picks for Monday.

It's the day after the Super Bowl and the NBA takes center stage on this Monday night. There is a nine game slate in the Association tonight. That offers bettors plenty of opportunity to find value and build on their winnings from the Super Bowl or recoup losses if necessary.

There are three shooters that I have my eye on tonight, starting with Jordan Clarkson, who gets the Pacers tonight. Let's start off the week with Monday's three NBA player props and picks.

NBA Player Props & Picks

Jordan Clarkson Over 22.5 Points (-120)

SpreadPacers -1.5

When the Indiana Pacers take the floor, there is a good chance that an opposing shooting guard had a big night. According to props.cash, the Pacers are 29th in defending that position. Recently, they have allowed Kevin Huerter, Gabe Vincent, Jimmy Butler, and Bradley Beal to go over their points lines — a blowout prevented Devin Booker from over his line as well.

The Pacers rank 25th in Defensive Rating and 29th in 3-point percentage defense. That sets up well for Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson, who averages 2.6 3s per game. This month, Clarkson is shooting just 25% from beyond the arc, but he is attempting eight per game. That also has not stopped Clarkson from scoring 23 points in four of his last five games.

Additionally, volume should not be an issue for Clarkson. In addition to the eight 3s per game, overall Clarkson is averaging 18.6 field goal attempts in 31.8 minutes per game this month. Essentially, if he plays 30 minutes, he is going to take 20 shots.

The books are telling us they expect a close high-scoring game with a spread of -1.5 and total of 238 points. As the second leading scorer on the team, Clarkson will need to produce to help the Jazz hold their end of the total. I expect him to answer the bell.

Gary Harris Over 1.5 3-Pointers (-125)

Unlike Clarkson, Gary Harris does not shoot often, but when he does, it is usually a 3-pointer. He attempts 6.4 field goals per game, but four 3-point attempts per game. He is averaging 1.9 3s per game and shooting 46% from beyond the arc.

Harris is averaging 4.8 3-point attempts over his last 10 games. He has made at least one three in each of those games and made two in seven of them. It is worth noting the Bulls were one of the teams that Harris went under against.

However, he played just 20 minutes and went 3-for-4 from the field and 1-for-2 from three. The Bulls rank 25th in the league, allowing 12.9 3s per game, so this is a matchup where Harris has the advantage.

In Harris' past 10 games, he has made at least three triples four times. If you are looking for a little extra value, FanDuel has Harris to make three 3-pointers at +280.

Jordan Poole Over 25.5 Points (-115)

SpreadWarriors -3.5

The Warriors and Wizards faced off on Martin Luther King Day in Washington. In that game, Jordan Poole scored 32 points and knocked down seven 3-pointers. Stephen Curry also knocked down six 3s and scored 41 points in that matchup.

It is no secret to how well opposing guards have played against the Wizards of late. Recently, CJ McCollum, Anfernee Simons, Edmond Sumner, Darius Garland, Bennedict Mathurin, and Tyrese Haliburton have all gone over their points line against the Wizards. Four of them scored at least 23 points and Washington also allowed 29 points to Damian Lillard as well.

Warriors guard Klay Thompson missed the first meeting, but he will be in the lineup tonight. This time, Curry is out as he has been for the last three games. Poole has scored 26 points in two of the last three games without Curry in the lineup, including 38 against the Blazers.

Poole averages 27 points and he has scored 26 in 12 of the 18 games he has played without Curry this season. He also scored 26 points in a game against Washington last season.

Without Curry, Thompson and Poole become the focal points of the Warriors' offense and Poole has a green light. In games without Curry, Poole is averaging 20.3 field goal attempts, 10.4 from the perimeter in 35 minutes per game.

With that kind of volume, it would be a surprise if Poole did not score 26 points against a below average Wizards defense. FanDuel is offering Poole to score 30 points at +180 and +500 to score 35 points.
