Tonight’s NBA primetime showdown features two of the Eastern Conference’s best. With the Bucks and Sixers battling it out in Milwaukee, I’m focused in on Brook Lopez and his 3-pointers made prop.
The Bucks center has hit at least two 3-pointers in five of his last 9 games, shooting 38% from behind the arc on the season.
In his last 10 matchups against Joel Embiid, Lopez has knocked down 27 3-pointers, hitting at least two in seven of those games. In fact, 65% of his field goal attempts came from behind the arc.
As good as Embiid is defensively, he’s more comfortable roaming the paint than contesting long range shots. As a team, the Sixers allow the highest percentage of points to centers via the 3-pointer.
The potential for foul trouble will be a concern, but this is a prop that Lopez can cover in a hurry. And all things being equal, he’ll be needed on the floor to defend Embiid as much as possible.
I see Lopez knocking down three triples tonight, and would play over 1.5 threes made to -135.
