Here's everything you need to know about Warriors vs. Nets on Monday, Feb. 5 — our expert prediction and betting picks for today.

Two teams looking to turn their season around and make a push to the playoffs meet on Monday night. The Golden State Warriors head to Brooklyn to face the Nets following Stephen Curry’s 60-point performance in the Warriors' loss to the Hawks on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Nets are looking to make it two in a row after beating the 76ers on Saturday. This is the second and final time these teams will meet this season and the Warriors won the previous matchup 124-120 on Dec. 17.

Let's get to our Warriors vs. Nets picks and prediction for tonight.

Warriors vs. Nets Prediction

Pick: Warriors +2

Warriors Betting Outlook

The Warriors are 21-25 and in 12th place in the Western Conference. Golden State looks significantly different than the team that won the Larry O'Brien Trophy just two seasons ago. The Warriors have dealt with the circumstances surrounding starting power forward Draymond Green and the lack of production from starting shooting guard Klay Thompson this season. Thankfully, both Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins have shown up in key ways to provide support for Curry and his one-man show. The Warriors will need a complete team effort tonight — and for the remainder of the season — to return to the promised land in June.

This game will come down to Golden State’s offense versus Brooklyn’s defense. The Warriors are the seventh-ranked scoring team in the NBA at 119 points per game. The Nets defense is 16th in points allowed this season, allowing an average of 115.4 points per game. Golden State also ranks second in 3-pointers made this season as it's averaging 15 per game and shooting 37.5% from 3. Brooklyn will need to keep Golden State cold from behind the arc to secure a victory.

On the other end of the court, the Warriors allow 118.8 points per game, which ranks 21st, while the Nets average 114.6 points per game (18th). The Nets can also make it rain from deep as they are averaging 14 made 3-pointers on 38.1 attempts (36.6%) per game this season.

Nets Betting Outlook

Recently, point guard Ben Simmons made a return to the court, though he won't play tonight as he rests his back injury. Brooklyn is led by Mikal Bridges and Cam Thomas, both of whom average over 20 points per game. The Nets are 20-28 and in 11th place in the Eastern Conference. They'll need to improve on their 12-13 record at Barclays Center to make a push during the last part of the season.

The Nets have been the favorite in 16 games this season and own an 11-5 record straight up (68.8%) and a 9-7 record against the spread (56.3%) in those games. As a home favorite, those numbers get significantly better as Brooklyn is 8-3 ATS (72.7%). Meanwhile, the Warriors are 4-15 SU (21.1%) as an underdog this season. However, Golden State is a respectable 12-6-1 ATS (66.7%) as a 'dog — the second-best cover rate in the league this season.

Take the underdog Warriors to cover the number and potentially sweep the season series against the Nets. Golden State has the better offense in three of the four key Four Factors and both teams are close on defense. This game will ultimately come down to which team can convert more of its 3-point attempts and get to the charity stripe more often. The Nets are a bottom-five team in free-throw percentage, converting only 75.7% of their attempts this season. The Warriors are top 10 with a 79.1% success rate.

I expect the Warriors to win outright (-108 moneyline odds at FanDuel), but take the points and back the Warriors in tonight’s matchup.

Pick: Warriors +2
