Texas A&M Basketball

Texas A&M has won two in a row after dropping four straight. It now sits at 19-8 overall and 9-5 in the SEC.

During the four-game losing streak, the Aggies were one of the worst defensive teams in the country, ranking 328th in defensive turnover rate, 337th in 2-point defense and 339th in defensive rebounding percentage.

Those numbers have improved slightly during the two-game winning streak, while their offensive rebounding percentage jumped up from 29% during the skid to 40% in the last two games.

Rashaun Agee continues to be the glue guy for this team. He has scored double figures in 14 of the last 16 games while racking up plenty of rebounds and assists.

Though Agee is the starting center for this team, he has a 2:1 assist-to-turnover ratio on the year with 64 assists to 32 turnovers.

Senior guard Marcus Hill has done a tremendous job this season, serving as the aggressive piece in head coach Bucky McMillan's system.

Hill has consistently put pressure on opposing defenses this season, with 26.3% of his field-goal attempts coming in transition. He's shooting 63.5% on transition attempts this season

Arkansas Basketball

Arkansas sits at 20-7 overall and 10-4 in SEC play after its solid bounce-back win over Missouri.

The Razorbacks boast the fourth-best offense in the country, and it's easy to see why. Darius Acuff is one of the best scorers in college basketball, and I'm not sure any are better than him when it comes to creating scoring chances as the ball-handler off of pick-and-rolls.

On the season, Acuff is shooting 50.9% from the field and 40.7% from 3 as the ball-handler off a pick-and-roll. On top of that, he's an elite facilitator.

Billy Richmond, AKA Billy Goat, has been awesome recently, from making highlight hustle plays to scoring 20 or more in three straight games on 65% shooting.

What makes Richmond special is the timing on his off-ball cuts in the Arkansas offense.

He's shooting a ridiculous 80.6% on those shots this season, with most of them coming around the rim. Occasionally, he'll stop a cut short and shoot his elbow jumper.

Texas A&M vs Arkansas Pick, Betting Analysis

Both of these teams will want to get out and push, but at the end of the day, one team has the stronger horses.

With the way Richmond has taken pressure off Acuff with his off-ball cuts, the Arkansas offense will continue to be efficient and cause problems for Texas A&M.

The Razorbacks are elite at scoring in multiple ways, especially from the ball-handler on the pick-and-roll and in transition.

Arkansas sits in the 99th percentile in points per possession in both categories, averaging 1.03 PPP with the ball-handler out of the P&R and 1.27 PPP in transition.

Meanwhile, Texas A&M's defense grades out in the 21st percentile guarding the P&R ball-handler.

My Pick: Arkansas -7.5
