White Sox vs. Astros Preview
Start with the arm, because that's what actually changed between Tuesday and Wednesday. Hunter Brown is Houston's best pitcher, and he's been lined up for Game 2 since the schedule came out, which means the Astros are finally putting an elite arm on the mound. Houston's rotation finished 27th in ERA this season, but Brown is the reason that number isn't worse, and he is the single biggest argument for the Astros in this series. That's the good news for Houston.
Chicago's counter is depth. The Sox ran a top-five offense behind first-time All-Stars Miguel Vargas and Munetaka Murakami, both of whom cleared 35 home runs, and they proved in this building that they can bury a soft inning; the 12-run night in the September series is still the loudest data point either club has at Daikin Park.

The question is how much it overshoots.
