Ravens vs Bills Prop Picks, Preview
Heading into this game, the Ravens and Lamar Jackson will be desperate for revenge following last season's playoff defeat to the Bills.
He's faced the Bills six times in his career and has a 3-3 record against them in the regular and postseason, although one of those wins came when he wasn't a starter.
The Bills are a team that seemingly has his number and despite his evolution as a passer over recent years, he's never really torched them through the air.
Jackson was unlucky to lose the MVP to Josh Allen last season, as the Raven racked up 4,172 passing yards in the regular season, an average of 245.4 per game.
However, in five starts against the Bills, he's only ever hit 200+ yards once, averaging 172.2 yards through the air per game.
Josh Allen used his legs to devastating effect for the Bills last year, scoring 12 rushing touchdowns in the regular season and adding two more against this very opposition in the playoffs.
Despite that, he managed to put up just 41 rushing yards combined in two games against the Ravens last season.
Allen has elite rushing skills and it's impossible to rule it out, but this Ravens defense was exceptional against the run last year, averaging just 80.1 yards allowed per game in the regular season.
There's no reason to think that the Ravens' rush defense has deteriorated much.
He might be getting older, but Derrick Henry is still a formidable running back and comes fresh off an impressive season (2,191 rushing yards, 21 touchdowns).
With Jackson improving every season as a passer, the addition of a top-tier running threat has allowed him to stay in the pocket more — and for the Ravens to add a second rushing threat on every play.
Last season, Henry averaged over 100 rushing yards per game, clocking in at a staggeringly high average of 115.3 per game. He's surpassed 80.5 rushing yards in each of his games against the Bills as a Raven, averaging a mind-blowing 141.5 yards per game.
Expect another big game from the 31-year-old.
