Predators vs Maple Leafs Pick
The Nashville Predators are coming off an impressive 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars, and they'll likely carry that momentum as they travel to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs. Goaltender Juuse Saros was tremendous in that win, and he is likely to start again in this matchup.
Through his first two starts this season, Saros boasts a .933 save percentage and a 2.03 goals-against average. While Saros typically fares well against every team in this league, he has played particularly well against Toronto.
Over the past six meetings, Saros is 4-2 with a .920 save percentage and a 2.51 goals-against average. The Maple Leafs have also struggled offensively to begin the campaign, scoring just two goals in each of their first three games.
Entering this matchup, Toronto ranks in the bottom half of the league in goals scored per game, power-play percentage and shooting percentage. Goaltending has also been an issue, with Sergei Bobrovsky slated to guard the cage.
Through his first two starts with his new club, Bobrovsky is 0-2 with an .887 save percentage and a 3.08 goals-against average.
Pick: Predators Moneyline (+130 at DraftKings)
Blues vs Blackhawks Pick
The Chicago Blackhawks' offense has been nonexistent in the absence of Connor Bedard. Unsurprisingly, the team can't produce goals without its star player, averaging just 1.67 goals per game through its first three outings.
Chicago is 0-3 during that stretch, and an offensive rebound is unlikely with goaltender Joel Hofer projected to start between the pipes for the St. Louis Blues. Hofer opened the season with a 25-save shutout against the Stars, a team far more capable of producing offense than this current Hawks lineup.
However, goal support is not guaranteed for Hofer. Entering this matchup, St. Louis ranks in the bottom half of the league in goals scored per game, shots on goal per game, power-play percentage and shooting percentage.
Furthermore, the Blues will be shooting against Spencer Knight, who is one of the few bright spots for this Chicago team. Knight's stats don't accurately portray how well he has played, and it's also worth noting that Knight and Hofer faced each other in a preseason tilt between these two teams that saw just five total goals scored.
Pick: Under 5.5 (53 Cents at Kalshi)
Golden Knights vs Kraken Pick
Seattle Kraken netminder Joey Daccord has cruised to easy victories in each of his first two starts this year, and it's worth backing him to build on that momentum in this matchup. Across those two wins, Daccord has posted a commanding .966 save percentage and a 1.01 goals-against average.
Daccord has also received ample goal support, given that Seattle scored six goals in each of those two victories. This season, the Kraken rank in the top 10 in goals scored per game, power-play percentage and shooting percentage.
They outrank the Vegas Golden Knights in each of those three categories. Meanwhile, goaltender Carter Hart is slated to take the crease for Vegas.
He is coming off a poor outing against the Anaheim Ducks, in which Hart surrendered four goals on just 20 shots for an .800 save percentage.
Pick: Kraken Moneyline (39 Cents at Polymarket)
