Group H features the Euro 2016 champion Portugal, plus s a familiar face in two-time World Cup champion Uruguay.

American fans will be used to seeing Ghana as an underdog in a World Cup group, as the Black Stars provided crucial losses to the United States in the 2006 and 2010 World Cup tournaments.

The USA did secure a bit of revenge in 2014, but Ghana can be a problematic team to face for anyone.

Here is an outlook for the final group in the 2022 World Cup.

The Favorite: Portugal

Despite featuring some of the best players in the world, primarily names such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes, Portugal had to work its way through to the World Cup Finals with two playoff wins.

While it was fortunate that Italy was knocked out before their second-leg play-off fixture, Portugal got the job done against North Macedonia in a professional result. Their reward? Favorite status in Group H.

The Dark Horse: Uruguay

As much as I'd like to give Ghana a shout here, this isn't the same Ghanian team that we've seen in years past. Instead, I'll look at Uruguay as a dark horse.

It secured qualification into the World Cup, thanks to a comfortable third-place finish in the CONMEBOL qualification stage. And while Uruguay has struggled to break through, it has made it out of the group in three consecutive events.

Potential Shock Elimination: Uruguay

However, just as Uruguay is capable of winning this group, a shock loss to either Korea or Ghana, or a combination of poor results there could equal a devastating scenario.

Portugal is too good to fail to make it out of this group, but Uruguay isn't on that level, and both Ghana and South Korea have provided massive blows in years past to teams looking to advance through to the next stage.
