France Favored Over Croatia In World Cup Final

After a month of drama, the World Cup Final is set. France will meet Croatia for the trophy on Sunday at 11 a.m. ET.

France are currently -210 favorites to lift the trophy with Croatia coming back at +176. On the three-way moneyline, France is listed at -104, Croatia is +372 and the draw is +214. The over/under is set at 2 goals with the over +104 and the under priced at -128.

Croatia are coming off a dramatic 2-1 win over England in extra time. It was the third game in a row that required the Croats to go beyond 90 minutes to advance. This will be Croatia's first trip to the Final. Their best-ever finish was third place at France '98.

France moved on to the final with a 1-0 win over Belgium in the semifinals. Didier Deschamps' men had a hard path to the championship, beating Argentina, Uruguay and then Belgium and never needing more than 90 minutes to do so. This is France's third World Cup Final appearance. They won as hosts in 1998 and lost to Italy on penalties in 2006.

France came into the tournament as the fourth favorite at +700. Only Brazil, Germany and Spain had shorter odds than Les Bleus when play opened on June 14.

Croatia sported a +3500 price tag on opening day, and if they beat France on Sunday, they would become the biggest underdog to win the tournament.
