Five rookies have gained considerable steam throughout training camp, and they’re atop the largest ADP risers in fantasy football since the start of August.
Wide receiver Romeo Doubs and running back Isiah Pacheco have been on a fast track to potential fantasy relevance since the start of training camp. Both the Packers and Chiefs offenses are looking to replace star playmakers, and the pair appears poised to help take on some of the burden.
George Pickens, meanwhile, is the latest rookie Steelers receiver to make headlines. Like the other top wideouts in Pittsburgh — Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool — there is considerable optimism about Pickens, who may even be ahead of Claypool on the depth chart.
Then there are Dameon Pierce and Zamir White, another pair of rookie RBs who could play big roles this season. Pierce’s starting job is pretty much set in stone for the Texans, while White is gaining momentum toward taking work away from Josh Jacobs in Las Vegas.
On the other hand, there's another set of running backs headlining the fallers list.
Ronald Jones, for instance, appears to be trickling down the Kansas City depth chart behind Pacheco. Clyde Edwards-Helaire will start the season as the starter, but the rookie appears primed to eat into CEH's work more than Jones.
Next we have Gus Edwards, the once-reliable Ravens RB whose injury issues have extended into this season. Edwards will miss at least the first four games of the season as he recovers from a torn ACL he suffered in early September 2021.
