Streaming quarterback, kicker and defense has been a strategy I've used successfully for years.

I've parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations of the top streaming options at those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week, though still offer recommendations for fantasy players who may need a short-term rental.

Here are this season's results through Week 15:

  • Defense: DEF1
  • Quarterback: QB11
  • Kicker: K6
  • Tight end: TE17

Now without further ado, let's go streaming for championship week!

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts

Hopefully, if you've been streaming QBs all season, you heeded my advice to add Jalen Hurts back in Week 14.

I played it safe in Week 14, leaving him on my bench, but I knew he had QB1 upside. He has exceeded my expectations (another reminder to never overlook a QB with rushing upside) and is my QB2 in my initial Week 16 projections. He could end up being a true league-winning pickup.

Washington Defense

The Football Team's defense is a safe play for Week 16 and is my preferred add to begin the week.

If you are looking for a high ceiling at defense this week, you may want to consider the Texans. Their upside will be much higher if Brandon Allen cannot return for Week 16, forcing the Bengals to stick with Ryan Finley. I'll make my final call later in the week in my Updated Streamers.

Buccaneers K Ryan Succop

The Bucs ended up defeating the Falcons, 31-27, in Week 15, but were in comeback mode for much of the game, trying to overcome a 17-point deficit. It limited Succop's field goal opportunities, but he still ended with 7 points.

Hopefully, the Bucs get off to a better start this week against the Lions and set up a game script to enhance field goal chances for Succop. It's a game that will be played in a dome, which is always preferred this time of year when the weather can be an issue.

Bears TE Cole Kmet

Update: I have replaced Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz with Kmet as my streaming recommendation for championship week. His rankings and availability are as of Saturday night.
