"Streaming" quarterbacks, defenses and kickers has been a fantasy football strategy I've successfully used for years.

I've parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations of the top streaming options at those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week — which can be of assistance in a pinch.

The concept behind streaming is that you add someone for a given week based on the matchup, rather than putting the emphasis behind a player's long-term projection.

Note that these players are rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues, but that these recommendations do not mean that they are the best streamer play for your league — be sure to check my up-to-the-minute rankings to see who the best available player is in your league.

Read on for my Week 7 streaming analysis.

Giants QB Daniel Jones @ JAX (30% rostered)

Geno Smith and Derek Carr are rostered in over 60% of leagues, but there is a chance either one of them is available in yours.

However, if everyone ranked inside my top 12 is taken, Daniel Jones is the next best option, as he opens my week as my QB13. Jones’ rushing ability gives him a nice floor and ceiling combination, and having Wan’Dale Robinson healthy will be a huge boost for Jones as a passer.

If he’s able to get Kadarius Toney or Kenny Golladay back this week, it could help him even more in a good situational spot. The Giants are 3-point underdogs to the 'Jags so there's a chance they may need to pass more than usual.

Broncos TE Greg Dulcich vs. NYJ (2%)

If you have Tyler Higbee or Dallas Goedert on a bye and you're looking for a short-term option at TE, the safest options are Hunter Henry or Robert Tonyan, who are on the TE1/2 fringe this week.

However, if you want to roll the dice on a potential low end TE1 to hold you over for the season, go with Dulcich. He’s a talented pass-catching TE who was drafted in the third round, and he reminds me a bit of TJ Hockenson.

Sure enough, he led the Broncos TE group against the Chargers with a 81% route participation rate and he hauled in 2 passes for 44 yards to go with a touchdown.

The likely scenario for Dulcich is that he settles in as a TE2 option for the rest of the season, but he has the talent and the opportunity where finishing as a rest-of-season TE1 is in his range of outcomes.

Cowboys K Brett Maher vs. DET (51%)

Thanks to the return of Dak Prescott and a matchup against the Lions, the Cowboys have the second-highest team total of the week. Maher should get plenty of scoring opportunities this week, moving him to the #3 kicker position.

Dolphins DEF vs. PIT (18%)

It’s a below-average week for defensive streamers, but the top option currently looks like the Dolphins. They open the week as my fifth-ranked defense.

The unit hasn't been great at generating turnovers this season, but with Tua Tagovailoa back in action and as 7-point home favorites, the 'Fins defense should force Kenny Pickett or Mitch Trubisky to drop back at a high rate, increasing the chances for sacks and turnovers.

The Steelers also have the third-lowest team total of the week. I view the Dolphins as a great high floor option for Week 7.
