Last week, right after ESPN and Penn Entertainment released its new logo for ESPN BET, BroThrow CEO Brady Sharp got a text from a friend.
"Check this out," it read. "I think it looks a lot like yours."
BroThrow is a social sports betting site that operates in 50 states as a peer-to-peer bet matching system that takes no vig.
Both logos have a "B" outline with decal inside and feature an identical mint green color.
"The problem is it's not like we are a single hardware store in Iowa," Sharp said. "We're in the same [business] category."
