The initial Responsible Gambling Affiliate Association has been created with the goal to protect consumers with an advocacy for reasonable regulation, reasonable advertising and consumer production.

Six companies have joined the initial group. These include Better Collective, which owns the Action Network, as well as Catena Media, Gambling.com Group, Oddschecker Global Media, Spotlight Sports Group and XL Media plc.

Per Marc Pedersen, CEO of North America, Better Collective, this is a key step in promoting responsible gaming for consumers and is a positive step for the future of the industry.

"We are committed to doing everything possible to help empower our industry to promote gambling as entertainment and enable our customers to enjoy our products and services responsibly. Having the industry come together with a unified approach to creating standards and guidelines puts the best interests of our consumers, customers, and their families at the forefront. Not only is this the right thing to do for our customers, it's the best thing to ensure the success and longevity of the industry and our businesses."

The group was founded on five initial pillars:

  • Promotion of Competitive Gambling Markets: This ensures consumers can engage with a diverse selection of products.
  • Industry Education: Organizing new initiatives and ensuring that affiliates and consumers are informed.
  • Consumer Protection, Empowerment, and Choice: Steering consumers towards licensed and regulated options, providing innovation, safety and the best consumer experience possible.
  • Advertising Codes of Conduct: Promoting ethical behaviors in the advertising space to acknowledge and aim to minimize problem gaming.
  • Responsible Business Practices: Based on thoughtful dedication to responsibility towards the consumer and the industry.

More companies are expected to be added to the group in the future.
